B had to go to school today so I made him a fun lunch with Easter eggs and an Easter Bununny. This makes me laugh every time I say it, but I thinks it’s just me being a dork or the fact that I stayed up until 1 am making it. Bununny….hahahahaha! Autocorrect knows that word now.
On another note, Lexi had her checkup this week and she is doing great. The doctor found her very amusing and said he thought she would be doing stand up by third grade! She was on her game that day. Of course, she melted down afterwards in tjmaxx and I had to carry her out screaming. It was hilarious (yeah, that’s sarcasm).
I figured since my last long post was Lexi’s first birthday, this was perfect timing to start back up. Plus, I am very proud of my simple but fun art party. We are thrilled to have survived the terrible twos, but everyone likes to remind us that three is much worse…Thank you wise friends, but my glass is half full and I think this year is going to be a blast. Lexi talks so much and has a dramatic flare that makes me laugh every day. She is learning basic tap and ballet, standing in one spot and not yelling at the teacher, and is working hard on her colors and shapes. She talks in funny voices, mimics everything (watch your language) and “reads” to herself and her friends (that we can’t see). I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
Lexi: I’m super done eating.
Joe: I don’t want my kids talking like you.
Me: It’s super too late!
Me: Lexi, do you want Georgi to sleep with you?
Lexi: Sure, mommy, that sounds like a good idea.
Lexi: It’s okay Georgi, I’m right here.
You may be thinking these quotes are lame but you have to hear them in Lexi’s crazy voice.
I’m obsessed with pic collages now, so I apologize in advance…there’s going to be more!
And this picture helps excuse my absence! But I am determined to start back up and post regularly.
I wanted to tell you about my new favorite blog to visit bakerella.blogspot.com
I discovered this when researching ideas for Lexi’s birthday party and loved her ideas. I don’t think she is a proffessional baker, so her instructions are easy to follow and do-able (I think, but I haven’t tried anything yet). I put the link in my blog roll if you want to check it out later.
Brandon drew a picture of the family all by himself today, which was amazing! It was a part of the scenery we made for a puppet show, so our family also included a one eyed alien. Here is a picture of our family portrait…I see a budding art career!
